We were so excited to be able to open our gates again at the start of July and so far, so good! We’ve successfully welcomed around 600 families people into the park. Everybody has been very respectful of the procedures we’ve had to put in place to keep our guests safe while they enjoy their time away. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

We thought we’d mention a few of the measures we’ve introduced to help you enjoy your holiday with us safely.

Helping you keep your distance

Everyone is conscious of the ongoing need for social distancing, so we’re making that as easy as possible. Firstly, we’re using contactless technology wherever we can, including operating a contactless check-in system. The new digital downloads page on our website has all the information you need on arrival to help you enjoy your stay.

Like most other sites, we have fewer touring pitches available at the moment. This helps people to maintain their distance from other families, as well as reducing the pressure on our shared facilities. We have larger marked out pitches, with electric hook up available in Thrush Close.

Hygiene on holiday

We always aim to keep our accommodation ‘sparkling clean’, but currently we’re carrying out additional cleaning and sanitising between guests. We’ve also allocated additional time for our team to disinfect shared facilities. If you’re touring and have your own bathroom on-board, we’d still encourage you to use it whenever possible. Do bring extra soap, hand gel, gloves, toilet roll, disinfectant and hand sanitiser – just to be on the safe side!

Facilities and food

Understandably, some of our amenities need to remain closed, as we’re unable to manage those safely: the games room, indoor soft play, sauna and campers’ kitchen are all locked up for the time being. However, we have other facilities that are open and working brilliantly:

  • Tennis, badminton and outdoor table tennis but please bring your own equipment
  • Outdoor play areas
  • A well-stocked shop with a one-way system and queuing system when busy
  • Freshly brewed coffee and other hot drinks
  • And of course you can always enjoy beautiful forest walks from the park.

Table Tennis

Table tennis is brilliant family fun!

The swimming pool is where many families make the most wonderful memories of their holiday and ours re-opened on 25th July. To comply with government guidelines, we’re restricting the number of people in the pool to a maximum of 8 people from 2 families for 25 minutes at a time. We’re using a timed booking system which is working really well. In fact, many people seem to prefer it! We’ll be able to open our pool to non-residents from 1st September.

If you’d like a night off from self-catering, we have regular visits from a wood-fired pizza company, a BBQ take away and our own delicious take away menu offering a range of goodies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many local pubs and restaurants are now happily taking bookings and we’d urge you to support local businesses as much as possible. We’re always happy to help with recommendations on where to eat out.

See you soon

We are now fully booked until 31 August, but have availability during September and October and also during the half term week. We’re also now taking bookings for 2021. However, if you or anyone in your household has COVID-19 symptoms, we’re sorry but we don’t want to see you! If you’re ill, get in touch with us to discuss your booking.

Thank you for helping us to keep other guests, staff and our local community safe!
