Camping & Touring in Devon
Sheltered Camping & Touring in the heart of Devon
Forest Glade welcomes camper vans, touring caravans, motor homes and tents of all sizes. We have a large number of hard standings and spacious grass pitches, and most pitches have electric hook-ups.
Caravan sites in Devon
All types of mobile holiday accommodation are welcome at Forest Glade. Our camping/touring pitches are large, flat, sheltered and well-drained.
Many have electric hook-ups and we have both hard standings and grass pitches available.
Check in time is 2.30pm and check out is 11.00am. There is a charge for early arrivals and late check outs and these are subject to availability. Please enquire when booking or before you arrive.
Hard standing pitches
These are located in Robin, Wren and Owl Close and in Forest Way. All are suitable for a touring caravan and awning, camper van or motor home and have electric hook-ups.
Please state the length of your unit when booking.
Motor home pitches
All our hardstanding pitches are suitable for motorhomes.
In addition we have a full service motorhome pitch available in Larch Way, near the amenities building (no space for an awning).
Our full service pitches are suitable for RVs.
Camper vans are welcome on all pitches.
Full-service pitches
These are located in Larch Way, opposite the Amenities building and have electricity, a drinking water supply and grey water drainage.
They are suitable for all sizes of touring caravan with space for an awning and also take motor homes and RVs.
Grass pitches
Grass electric pitches are situated in Thrush Close and in the Christmas Tree Field.
The Christmas Tree Field has five electric hook-ups.
Camping in Devon
There are several camping areas around the park offering sheltered camping for tents of various sizes. We can accommodate large tents on most of the pitches both with and without hook-ups.
Christmas Tree Field
The Christmas Tree Field is in the heart of the site and is very handy for the swimming pool and play areas. The field is all grass with five electric hook-ups and four un-serviced pitch – 9 pitches in total.
Five Acre Field
Our Five Acre field is mainly used for camping at busy weekends and during the summer holidays. It is a little bit further away from the facilities but offers plenty of space, perfect for larger families and groups and offers that real ‘getting away from it all’ feeling.

Facilities for Campers
In our central amenities building you will find free hot showers, washing up sinks and a coin operated laundry room. There is also a family shower room with a toilet, and an accessible bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin.
There is also a camper’s kitchen where there is a microwave, kettle and toaster. We also have a veg prep sink, which is great if you have come camping with just the basics and it is ideal for those staying in our camping pods. A freezer for ice packs can also be found in the Tourist Information room.
