The cream tea is one of the most fondly regarded British food traditions. With origins that stem from the West Country the popular treat consisting of scones, clotted cream and jam can be ordered from many tearooms and café’s in Devon. However, there is something of a divide that exists between Devon and Cornwall cream teas. Much debate exists concerning the big question of whether it is the cream or jam that should come first. Whichever way you choose to have your cream and jam, they are simply delicious. A must-have treat on your holidays!
Although there is a wide choice of places near our East Devon holiday park that offer cream tea, we’ve listed just some of our favourites in this guide.
