If you're not one for sitting still or want to keep the children busy there's plenty to do on the park and in the local area.
Our covered heated swimming pool is free to use for guests staying on the park.
For your safety we operate booked sessions when the park is busy. This is also helps us to maintain water quality.
Our full size tennis court is free to use, and equipment is provided. All we ask is that you wear soft-soled shoes to protect the surface.
When the park is busy you may need to book. Just pop into the shop or Reception.
When the weather is good you can find the badminton lawn behind the main house on the park. Equipment is available to borrow free of charge from Reception and there is no need to book this activity.
As well as a table tennis table indoors in the Games Room we also have an outdoor table behind the house. Come to Reception to borrow the equipment to play.
There are many walks to choose from in the 300 acres of forest surrounding the park. Pop into Reception to pick up a leaflet:
Short walks, up to an hour in length, are ideal if you want to take your little ones exploring
Longer walks – we have a selection of walk leaflets available. Many start on the park while others explore the wider local area.
We have two play areas. Little ones have one to themselves so that they can play safely. In our adventure play area we also have a zip wire which is very popular.
We have plenty of space for you to play ball games. There are football nets on the Ball Games area near the shop. Or why not organise a game of cricket or rounders in the Five Acre Field. Please just keep away from other tents and caravans.
Please don’t play ball games in the main touring field or around the holiday caravans.
Cycling – your children are welcome to bring their bikes to cycle around the park. The roads around here aren’t family friendly but there are some excellent cycle paths in the local area if you want to make it a day out.
For water sports head to North Devon’s beaches – popular with surfers and body-boarders, or visit Sidmouth, Seaton or Exmouth for windsurfing, kite surfing and kayaking. There are some great local watersports hire companies including Seaton Bay Watersports and Jurassic Paddle Sports.
If heights are your thing head to Go Ape in Haldon Forest (also great for cycling and walking) or the adventure centre at Vivary Park in Taunton. The Quay Climbing Centre in Exeter has climbing walls, a bouldering room and Clip ‘n Climb which is suitable for families.
